Every year, the Hospital de Clínicas organizes the already known Live Surgery Course “Urovivo" that, this year, will be held on August, 2022. It consists on a two-day course with live surgeries performed at the University Hospital, with simultaneous interpreting.

This year, due to the COVID 19 Pandemic that still continues, added to the recent world events, its dictation represents a real challenge. The objective will be to return to the usual format, where the invited surgeons operate from the Hospital's operating room and the public attends from an auditorium. However, technology and its advances also allow some distinguished urologists from abroad to join us from their respective Centers. This way, we will have a hybrid offer, which will allow public to be live and also remotely. It is worth mentioning that the course will have simultaneous interpretation into English and Mandarin Chinese. In this way we aim to have a global impact, supported by the fact that the members of the Endurological Society will have free access.

In 2021 an entirely virtual course was held, which had a huge impact worldwide with more than 1500 views and the presence of an unprecedented panel of world leaders. On the website www.urovivo.com you can see the impressive agenda and the guests we received last year.

In this opportunity, within the twelve planned procedures, different interventions will be included such as Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy, Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery, Partial Laparoscopic Nephrectomy, Robotic Prostatectomy, Laser and Bipolar Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Surgeries and others. In addition, lectures will be given that will provide theoretical support to the eminently practical knowledge that will be imparted.
